Last night, in celebration of the Oscars, I made Smitten Kitchen’s Red Velvet Cake. I didn’t have the requisite 3 ounces of red food coloring, but the one ounce I did have worked just fine. It was delicious! When I make it again, though, I’ll definitely double the icing recipe as she suggests at the end—you just can’t ever have enough cream cheese frosting, as far as I’m concerned!
