Just tried Smitten Kitchen’s recipe for shaved asparagus pizza. It was, of course delicious. All her stuff is. I especially enjoyed her recommendation to taste the raw shaved asparagus that gets tossed with olive oil and salt and pepper. It was truly yummy!
There’s only one thing that I would do differently: Whenever I make white (aka non-tomato-sauce based pizzas), I always brush the unbaked crust with an olive oil/garlic/salt & pepper mixture. Smitten Kitchen doesn’t have the crust brushed with anything, but I think a little garlic is always a good idea.
